Ciril Rozman-Borstnar (Ljubljana, Slovenia, 1929). He earned a Bachelor’s in Medicine from the University of Barcelona in 1954 and a doctorate in 1957. In 1967 he was awarded the Full Professorship in Medical Clinical Pathologies at the University of Salamanca and in 1969 he was appointed to the same post in Barcelona. He mainly specialised in blood diseases, chronic lymphatic leukemic and bone marrow transplants. He directed the Farreras Valentí School of Haematology and the journal Medicina Clínica (Clinical Medicine). He worked mainly on studying the splenogram, collagenosis, purpura, Hodgkin’s disease and the cellular ultrastructure in haematology.
